WINNER:P Jog Junior College - Dhananjay Katkar and Ayush Yembarwar
RUNNER UP: Fergusson College - Shardul Parab and Harshit Rajesh Sinha

Pune lived up to its reputation of being a tech savvy city with a record turnout for the 2014 edition of the TCS IT Wiz. Pickbrain too recognised the IT prowess of the students here and unveiled a prelim which sure seemed tougher than the other cities. The teams that made it to the final were as follows:

Jnana Prabodhini Prashaala - Nishad Patwardhan and Aalok Sathe
Fergusson College - Shardul Parab and Harshit Rajesh Sinha
Bishop School Camp - Saransh Sinha and Anantha Hegde
DAV Public School, Aundh - Tejas Patodkar and Karan Gaikwad
Vikhe Patil - Pradyumna Indurkar and Ishan Divekar
P Jog Junior College- Dhananjay Katkar and Ayush Yembarwar

The first couple of rounds of the quiz was a four way battle between Fergusson College, Bishop School, Vikhe Patil and P Jog Jr.College, all on par with each other. As the quiz moved into the mid phases the duo from P Jog started moving ahead of the rest while Fergusson and Vikhe Patil were not too far behind.

After the next couple of rounds, the P Jog team kept moving from strength to strength, while in the quest to move ahead the Vikhe Patil duo lost some ground on the buzzer. The Fergusson team played the game with maturity realising they did not stand a chance to win so played well to ensure they finish second.

The P Jog team finished with a score of 75, the highest so far by any team across India in the 2014 season. The guest of honour, Prof. Rajat Moona, Director General C-DAC, described the event as a reflection that “India was in safe hands with such youngsters”. Mr. Arvind Padhye, Delivery Centre Head, TCS Pune was also present with the guest of honour.
