It was the last city final of this season of TCS IT Wiz. Enthusiasm and Excitement were in abundance as is always seen at Pune. Over 600 students from not just Pune but towns as far as Nashik were part of the event. Seasoned quizmaster Pickbrain went about the prelim, which was a not so easy one, with fleeting ease putting his audience to great comfort. The prelim led to the selection of six schools that made it to the final:

FINALISTS :

Delhi Public School : Akshat Joshi and Shoham Chakraborty
Bishops School Camp : Vaibhav Makar and Naman Dua

Podar Int. School Pimpri : Siddharth Apte and Mokshal Shah

The finale started with Bishops School scoring early along with Mahindra College but soon enough the duo from DPS also drew parity. The first couple rounds moved quickly and with the onset of the buzzers, the team from Army Public pushed the throttle and did extremely well in the TCS round, maxing it, to get on par with the rest.

In the meantime, the Bishops team moved ahead with good strikes and the rounds that followed became a thriller. The duo from Mahindra at this stage did not take their half chances and missed out. In the final round, the Army Public team and Bishops duo were locked in a tie. The former cracked the tie breaker quickly and made it to the national round.

The guest of honour Ganesh Vijaypurkar, Director - Head Citi Tech Centre, Pune advised the students to make the best of their future as they were going to be part of a digital world and knowledge of technology would be an imperative. Mr. Sacheen, the Head of TCS Pune, also appreciated the teams.
